De advocaat van morgen wordt geconfronteerd met een aantal uitdagingen: hij zal moeten leren omgaan met nieuwe technologieën om zijn opdracht op een meer professionele, efficiënte en eerlijke manier te kunnen uitvoeren. Hij zal moeten samenwerken omdat de complexe en multidisciplinaire problemen die aan hem worden voorgelegd, niet meer alleen door hem kunnen worden opgelost. Hij zal moeten innoveren om relevant te blijven in een steeds sneller veranderende maatschappij. Coworking is een manier om deze uitdaging aan te gaan en ze om te vormen in een opportuniteit. Het is meer dan alleen het louter delen van een werkruimte. Voor advocaten staat het symbool voor de transformatie en voor de digitale evolutie van het beroep. Coworking geeft de advocaat meer samenwerking, flexibiliteit en toegevoegde waarde in zijn werk. Dit werk kadert het fenomeen coworking en biedt een overzicht van reeds bestaande initiatieven. Het bestaat uit 3 delen: 1. Wat is coworking? Dit eerste deel behandelt de geschiedenis van coworking, de context waarin nieuwe werkvormen zijn ontstaan en de ontwikkeling van coworking in België en wereldwijd. Daarnaast worden de werkwijze en de voor- en nadelen gepresenteerd. 2. Coworking en advocaten. De auteurs onderzoeken vervolgens de context van de digitale revolutie, de ontwikkeling van coworking-oplossingen voor advocaten met hun voor- en nadelen, ethische kwesties, nieuwe manieren van samenwerking en de antwoorden van advocaten in een enquête uit 2018. 3. "Design impacts every part of our lives. The design of products and services influences the way we go about our daily activities and it is hard to imagine any activity in our daily lives that is not dependent on design in some capacity. Clothing, mobile phones, computers, cars, tools and kitchenware all enable and hold in place everyday practices. Despite design's omnipresence, the understanding of how design may facilitate desirable behaviours is still fragmented, with limited frameworks and examples of how design can effect change in professional and public contexts. This text presents an overview of current approaches dedicated to understanding how design may be used intentionally to make changes to improve a range of problematic social and environmental issues.
